Lilypad is building the next generation of game server hosting. Our platform powers game servers around the world, and we're working to make deploying and managing them faster, simpler, and more enjoyable than ever.
We're looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to help build and improve the web platform that powers Lilypad. This role will begin as a 3-6 month contract, focused on shipping major improvements to our platform. There is strong potential for the role to extend beyond the initial contract for the right person.
You’ll work across both frontend and backend systems to build a platform that enables seamless deployment of game servers, simplifies ongoing server management (such as installing modpacks and plugins), and handles billing and customer accounts.

What you'll be doing
Building and improving the Lilypad web platform (Nuxt & Vue.js)
Developing features across both frontend and backend systems
Designing and maintaining APIs and backend services
Integrating and working with payment systems (such as Stripe)
Creating smooth, reliable user experiences for managing game servers
Working closely with infrastructure and customer teams to ship new features
Helping improve performance, reliability, and scalability across the platform
What we're looking for
2+ years experience as a full-stack engineer/developer
Experience with the Nuxt & Vue.js frameworks
Experience building modern web applications while working with APIs and backend services
Experience integrating payment systems (e.g. Stripe)
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
Strong interest in UX and customer experience
Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Able to work independently in a fully remote environment
Interested in the gaming space and excited about changing how game server hosting works
Nice to have
Experience building high-performance microservices or infrastructure tooling with the Rust programming language
Experience in the gaming or game server hosting industry (+ great if you’ve had experience running/managing a game server yourself!)
Experience building SaaS products
Familiarity with Docker or containerised workloads
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure or distributed systems
Experience working in a startup or small team environment
